JACK'S STORY
Meet “Street Panna” Jack Downer
Jack Downer is the founder of Street to Stadium, a 2x Superball Panna World Champion, street football pioneer and elite skills coach.
His area of expertise is footwork, 1v1 skills and close control - the kind of technical detail that helps players feel confident, creative and dangerous on the ball.
Across his career, Jack has played, competed and performed all over the world. He has worked with some of the biggest names in football, including Neymar, Ronaldinho, Raheem Sterling, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Zlatan Ibrahimović, as well as leading sports brands and football clubs.
But Street to Stadium was not created just because of what Jack has achieved. It was created because of what he has lived through.
Why I built Street to Stadium
I started Street to Stadium because I believe every player deserves access to professional-level coaching and support.
For too long, elite football development has been out of reach for too many players. Expensive academies, selective systems and narrow pathways can make it feel like only certain players get access to the best information.
I wanted to change that. Because if every player has access to the right knowledge, then improvement comes down to how much they want it, how consistently they train and how willing they are to keep learning.
That’s what Street to Stadium is here to provide. The tools. The techniques. The support. The pathway to keep getting better.
The setback that changed everything
When I was 14, I suffered ligament damage in my foot after a bad tackle.
At the time, I was a promising young player, but the injury forced me to take eight months away from football. Clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham lost interest because of the time I had to take off.
That period was difficult. I still had the drive, I still had the knowledge, I still had the love for the game. But I couldn’t put it into practice the way I wanted to.
Looking back, that experience shaped how I think about football development. It showed me how quickly opportunities can change, and how important it is for players to keep learning, keep building and keep believing in their own journey.
A second chance
In 2021, I suffered a life-threatening injury during a charity match.
It was a freak accident. I collided with the goalkeeper, and his knee hit my abdomen with such force that it caused an incredibly serious laceration.
The surgeon later told me that if the impact had been just 1mm different, I would have died on impact because of the position of the arteries. What followed was the hardest period of my life.
Two comas. Life-saving surgery. Nine months of rehab. A second long period of recovery. And a survival my surgeon could only describe as miraculous.
But I’m still here. And after recovering, I returned to win the Superball Panna World Championship, one of the most prestigious titles in street football.
That experience made something very clear to me. If I had lost my life, all the skills, lessons and knowledge I had built through football might never have been shared.
Everything I had learned from competing, coaching, travelling, performing and playing with some of the best in the world could have disappeared with me.
That thought stayed with me. Street to Stadium is my way of making sure that knowledge gets passed on. Not just to one player, or to players who can access elite coaching, but to players everywhere.
Skills for life, not just football
Football has given me an unbelievable life. It has allowed me to travel the world, compete at the highest level in street football, meet my icons and share the ball with some of the biggest names in the game.
But the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that skills are about more than football. When you improve your skills, you build confidence. When you build confidence, you start to carry yourself differently.
You take more risks and you express yourself. You believe you belong and you become more willing to work, fail, learn and go again.
That confidence can help players on the pitch, but it can also help them in life. I see this in young players all the time. That’s what drives me.
My promise to you
If you’re willing to take this journey with us, I’ll keep putting everything I have into Street to Stadium.
I’ll keep building courses, sharing knowledge and creating training that helps young players thrive on and off the ball.
We can’t give you the desire to win. That has to come from inside you.
But we can give you the tools and techniques to turn that desire into skill.
And those skills can take you further than you think.
Welcome to Street to Stadium.
I can’t wait to see you succeed.
